Mieles Anta started its activity on a small premises in the Rosales neighbourhood (A Coruña); in barely two years, activity grew exponentially and the facilities were moved to an industrial area in the La Grela Industrial Estate, where its products were packed and distributed. At the same time, David never forgot its origins and in 1998 inagurated an industrial area for the extraction of automated honey in Toca, a small village of Samos, where he was born. His entrepreneurial character led him to be to almost a decade ahead of the BIO revolution and in 2005 Pazo de Lusío was born, our first brand of organic beekeeping products. Due to the demand for BIO products, we have to expand our hives reaching in 2010 about 4000 hives in production.
And a few years later, his growth led David to consider building a new plant for the extraction of beekeeping products so in 2013 it was inagurated in the Industrial Estate of Bóveda, the industrial facilities of Pazo de Lusío, characterized by modern and sophisticated facilities adapted to the needs of the sector. The positive reception of our products at a national level pushed us to enter the international market; we started this journey in Europe, taking our products to countries like France, the United Kingdom and Belgium, among others; the success of this stage led us to take the leap to the Asian and American markets. During these years, another of Mieles Anta’s achievements was the creation of the Toca brand in 2014, dedicated to organic and natural products and focused on promoting this line of international exports that the market was demanding.
These have been years of hard work, effort and dedication, with numerous visits from both national and international clients to our apiaries; as well as participation in exhibitions, congresses and trade fairs around the world, both to present ourselves and our products, and to discover new techniques focused on continuous improvement.
Thus we arrived at the year 2016, our 25th anniversary and a historical year for the company; we surprised David Corral with a great party, celebrating the consolidation of our company as a leader in Honey in Galicia.
The increase of national and international clients has meant a new challenge for the company, which materially means creating new facilities to distribute our products efficiently. Thus, in 2019 we embarked on a new adventure, moving our old headquarters in the La Grela Industrial Estate to the municipality of Bóveda, where we already had our extraction industrial area in the town’s industrial estate.
